Knesset Approves Prisoner Release Deal… Here We Go Again
The Yeshiva World reports that the Knesset has approved a deal in which The Jerusalem Post reports hundreds of Arabs with blood on their hands including Samir Kuntar (may his name be erased), who murdered people in a 1979 Nahariya attack, will be released for the two soldiers kidnapped by Hizbullah at the start of the Second Lebanese War two years ago. The Post asserts that it’s likely Hizbullah kidnapped the two soldiers (presumed by most to be dead and officially declared so) in order to obtain Kuntar (he should get cancer)’s release.
In any case, things are likely to be getting lively over here in Israel now due to the release of all these wonderful people, so it’s time to break out the post-traumatic stress syndrome and jump at every plastic bag popping. If the douchebag Israeli government had gone in there and finished the job two years ago instead of succumbing to imagined international pressure (and yes, as far as I remember it WAS imagined because America had basically given them the green light to go in and do some massive extermination) we would have had our soldiers back, possibly alive, and these Arab terrorist wastes of life rotting away in prison as well.
Unfortunately it is easy to say, “Shoulda been, woulda been, coulda been, DIDN’T” but what is most frustrating about this horrible episode is that Israel should learn its lessons yet it never does. Is such idiocy the hand of G-d or free choice leading to punishment? It is not for me to make the cheshbonos but what I do know is that situations like this should make us scream for the Messiah, because only his leadership is going to bust us out of this insanity.
